~I Know It's Too Much To Take On~

Part of me knows it is too much for me to take on since I already have a baby myself right now and 3 other children...but another part of me really wants to take that baby and help her.
My friend came over last night and said the hospital is looking for someone to take care of a baby girl who was born addicted to drugs while the mother cleans up her act. The baby has no name, no love and no attention while she's laying in a hospital bed hooked up to machines.
I was so heart broken I was crying when she told me. I felt so bad like I want to take that baby and just love her the way she should be loved.
I also know though, I have 4 children already-one who is still a baby. I feel compelled to help this little angel though. =( I know I cannot always be the one to help and that kills me. No baby deserves what she is going through right now. Every baby deserves love!!
Please just pray that they find a family for this little angel soon so she won't have to be in the system and go from home to home...

@thehorse I absolutely love that song. And yes I want to take that baby in and raise her already. I just don't know because of our finances can't afford another child and we do have 4 children already. I am a Christian so no warning needed-I am proud of loving the Lord! =)

@LovingMyBabies Do you know someone who could take the baby in for awhile? Multiple attachments aren't bad for a baby, as long as they're truly loved.

Poor little thing. I can understand how much your heartaches for her. You are right though, we can't save the world. We must think of our own as well.
I hope that they are able to find a family that will care for her, love her, and keep her safe.

@ElusiveButterfly I really wish I could save the world though, I keep trying but I know I can only do so much. =( Yeah my kids definitely need me and my time.

If you can afford to help then you can do it, but if you can't then you can just help find someone who can afford to help or just pray that someone will take care of him/her. It can be heartbreaking to see such situations but prayers are always the strongest way to help them.

@yuna15 No we really can't afford another baby. We have a 3 month old and 3 other children to take care of. I wish we could though. I have been praying for the baby to find a wonderful home.

You many not be able to take on this child but, you could visit it and hold it occasionally. It needs nurturing and holding right now. Or, if you can't hold it then talk to it.

@celticeagle I did think about that earlier that I want to go visit her and hold her. The problem is I know once I do that I am going to want her even more. So I will have to pray before going that I don't get too attached to the little angel.

If you feel strongly about that little baby, maybe talk with your husband and kids and see how they feel about it...it sounds like you really want to take her.

@Abbygreenhill I really do want to have her but I don't know the first thing about what she's going to need and I don't know if I could handle everything. So I have prayed about it and I am leaving it in God's hands. My husband is not on board with me wanting her at all...

@LovingMyBabies Well, if your husband is against it, it would be a bad situation in the long run for you. Maybe someone else will jump in and take her so you can move on.

@LovingMyBabies hopefully she's mentally stable enough to be successful in the military. They will provide her with a barracks room or some form of housing I would think.

Its so sad and the mother will probably got through the program, get out and start again. Someone needs to take that baby.

@andriaperry Yeah the mom has been addicted for 12 years, the grandma has her other child because the mom couldn't get clean.
