Great Day Today

Unlike yesterday when I was fighting with my computer for three hours just to get my notifications done, I have finished them three times.
I also got some work started on the laundry room. It is always so cluttered in there, and lots of dustwebs. Those are all gone now and I can even see the floor. There is still a lot to do in there, but at least it's started.
My goal is to be less cluttered in my next place. To that end I'm working out what I'll be taking and what will be left. My son wants me to have a huge yard sale. Frankly I don't have time to mark everything up I'm going to be getting rid of. Nor do I have the time to sit outside all day waiting for interested parties to come by and look over my stuff. I am bagging it up, sorting it and will take it to either Good Will or St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores.
I have a lot of downsizing to do. I'll be lucky to have both the cleaning and the downsizing done when I get word I need to be out.
I did get the packet from the loan company this morning via FedEx, so I've already sent it back with my signature to go ahead with the Deed-In-Lieu. I'm excited for the coming steps in this process.
I just hope I find time in all this to work on my books so they too can come to completion.
I hope your day has gone well. Thanks for reading.

I hope you can find time between everything to sit down and right. Of course i don't think I could do so with such a cluttered mess to work around either.

This must be so exciting for you. A whole new start and all. I wish we could get into another apartment here. This one is in need of paint and I have asked to be told they don't have it in their budget. The only way I can see is to move into a vacant one when one becomes available. Sure would be nice. Happy and fun times ahead for you.

@just4him ...Not allowed. The more organized you allow yourself to become the easier the move will be.

@celticeagle I'm hoping so. I know the one room I've avoided like the plague was the laundry room. It is also the pantry as it's right off the kitchen so I have food as well as linens and things just get very crowded in there in a hurry. I've made a huge dent in there, but still have a ways to go with it. Once it's done, this house will be a breeze, especially since I got the office done a couple months ago and it's still looking organized.

Looks like a very busy day for you. I'm having a busy day today myself. But I think I'm going to have a relaxing time tonight.

@Jessicalynnt I figure by the time I'm ready to take everything to the thrift store there will be quit a bit to take in. Especially clothes as I have a lot that I've been holding onto for the time when I will fit into them again.

Let your son have the huge tag sale. Split the profits with him. Pack the remaining items into boxes and take them to the Goodwill. The more you sell the less you have to pack up.

@just4him they will appreciate the donations. I remember when my husband brought our van filled with donations after our tag sale they even helped him unload the van. It was packed full.

Yes it is. However, it must be done. This won't all fit in a 1 bedroom apartment.

I know the time is going to go fast. Right now I'm going through everything in my closets and drawers to see what I don't need and can get rid of. I'll be doing the same with everything. I know my space will be limited, especially in my kitchen, so I'll even be getting rid of dishes and pots and pans. Once I have that figured out, then it will be time to pack. I'm also cleaning as I go, so I won't have a lot of that to do either when the time comes to move. I might not be the best housekeeper in the world, but nobody ever faulted me when it came to moving. My house has always been clean when I left.

@just4him I got most of what I set out to do done(ish) today.. but I didn't exercise.. though I did go to Church, and I am slightly short on work progress, which I will need to make up for tomorrow.

I usually give my stuff to the National Kidney Foundation. They actually come to house.
