i believe that everything happens for a reason and God already have plan for everyone. By inflicting pain, He wants us to learn from the from the experience and be a stronger person after that. I used to keep on blaming God for all the bad things that are happening to me...but after my best friend told me 'Everyone of us have to bear the cross, it will not be too heavy for us as we may not be able to bear it but it also wont be too light, that we may not feel it' i give thanks for the ups and downs in my life. In a way, i'm a happier person now though i have all my problems..

To give us a chance to appreciate the other things in life. Especially when something happens to where we are not in as much pain as we used to be in.

Pain is our physiologic way to let us know something is wrong...we'd be sorry messes if we didn't have pain. So, God is kind to give us these built in neurosignals...

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen: A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things." The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside." "Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me." "Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world." BE BLESSED & BE A BLESSING UNTO OTHERS !!!

I'm a firm believer of the Biblical Principal that you reap what you sow. God doesn't CAUSE pain, we bring it upon ourself. Now there is also an area of genetic blessings and cursings and I would guess children fall under this. As a Christian, I feel when I become a father it is MY responsibility to go before God to break all curses that may be in my family line and to secure my family under His protection. I never blame God for bad things. He's a GOOD GOD. When bad stuff happens it's OUR fault ~ NOT HIS!

God allows physical pain so you stop hurting and trying to repair your damage, and I used to build artificial limbs etc.

job - job of the bible
first of all we shouldn't blame God whenever there's bad happened to us... he is justice & rigtheous! but somehow you might ask "why do God permit pain & suffer?" if you have the power to stop sorrow, wouldn't you do it? i believe that God will stop it in His own time... Do you read the Bible's book Job? there should be the answer. The Enemy of God raised a question involving the Integrity of man to God: That all men will not serve God under adverseries!"For nought is Job fearing God?" Satan asked God. Then the Devil maligns both GOd and Job by charging that God BOught Job's Loyalty by protecting and blessing him. "yet, put forth, I pray Thee, Thy hand, and strike against anything that he hath -- if not: to Thy face he doth bless Thee!" Satan's challenge. Job 1:8-11 the only way to answer those claims is to permit the Devil to test Job. The Devil brought calamity after another. His livestocks were stolen, servants were murdered & evevn his children were killed! But Job stayed Loyal to God. "(Job) is keeping hold on his integrity, and thou dost move Me against him to swallow him up for nought!" GOd said to Satan. well, did satan stopped? no! "And the Adversary answereth Jehovah and saith, `A skin for a skin, and all that A MAN hath he doth give for his life. Yet, put forth, I pray Thee, Thy hand, and strike unto his bone and unto his flesh -- if not: unto Thy face he doth bless Thee!"Note that the Devil used "a Man" instead of "Job", thus the Devil brings into question the integrity of every human. Will no human remain loyaol to God under all condition? So God permitted the Devil to aflict Job with malignant disease that made Job suffer that he prayed he might die. "Till I expire I turn not aside mine integrity from me" (Job 27:5) The passing of time has clearly shown that the Devil has not been able to turn everyone away from serving the true God (Hebbrews Chapter 11). Countless humans have come to know Jehovah and 'to love him with their whole haeart and with their whole soul and with their whole mind.' You too can prove the Devil wrong by being a man or woman of integrity.

I belive God gives us pain to teach us something. We are born to learn something to experience something.Life is a school. We are here to learn compassion, non-violence, faith and charity. We are here to unlearn negative emotions like fear, anger, jealousy, and greed. We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect. We are not our bodies. We have existed before we came into our physical bodies and will exist after we leave these bodies. And we will go on. A life with difficult relationships, filled with obstacles and losses, presents the most opportunity for the soul's growth.

i think its to let us lean on him during our crisis situations..when you are in pain you want the people you know that will care and love you around you..and they are no better healer of pain the God himself..just have to have faith in that

God does not want us to be in pain He allows it so We as human beings will learn to rely on him or tell us we need to go a dffrent direction with a certain area of our lives.

From book I read it says that God allows pain, because he wants us to be not comfortable living here on earth, because it says there that our real home is Heaven w/ God,so by experiencing pain we will strive more to be w/ God. Another thing is God allow pain so that we can appreciate his blessing more, when the time he give it to us.

God gives pain so that after pain u can feel the satisfaction of being OK.If u will not b hungry u won't realise the real taste of food.Like that only if u will not b given pain how can u experince the feeling of relief.

It is feedback to let us know when something is wrong with our bodies, or emotional pain to let us know we are off track in life.
