Our whole house fan (also known as an attic fan) really is one of the best improvements that we've made to our small house. When the temperature outside the house is cooler than inside, I simply turn it on and it draws the warm air from the house up into the attic which then pulls the cooler air from outside into the house through the open windows. It was only a couple hundred dollars to buy, it was easy to install, it is quiet, and it keeps our house cool on many summer nights so we don't have to use the air conditionding. Our AirScape whole house fan was a great purchase!
