Diabetes- Does it change your life

So, about 8 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I have been on a variety of different medications and now on Insulin, I have had blood sugars up and down accordingly. It's been a tough struggle as I hate taking drugs and often forget. I am wondering do you have or know someone who has diabetes. Also how does or has it affected you.

Yes, I was diagnosed with Type 2 a little over two years ago. At the time, my a1c was 13.7 I don't take insulin, but I take pills twice a day, 7 different types, including 1700 mg of Metformin I have trouble keeping my glucose down, if it doesn't even out soon I will probably have to begin insulin. My worst problem is my diet; I don't have much to spend on groceries, and eating 'right' isn't cheap.
