Moved my finch feeder

It had been hanging close to the front door...too close, really. I couldn't get any photos without the birds freaking out and taking off, so I decided to move it out to the Squirrel Tree yesterday, with great results.
The first time I saw one of the house finches, I thought it looked like someone attacked a sparrow with a can of red spray paint.
I'm finally able to get some good shots now, and I put a tripod for the camera on layaway yesterday, so it should just get better from here on out.

Good idea to place the feeder away from the house.

Nice picture! So adorable and a better idea so they won't get scared away. =)

That looks a great feeder. I'm sure you'll get some more great shots once you have a tripod.

Some bird landed on it in a bit of a hurry the other day and set it spinning on the chain like a carousel

Scar wants you to place the finch feeder real close to the ground.
