The RAIN woke me up again this morning, hitting my bedroom window. It has rained ALL WEEKEND. The wind is kicking up also, so we may be in for another dreary day. At least it’s not storming.
I had dinner at the Olive Garden Restaurant yesterday with a NEW friend. She and I have not known each other very long, but we BOTH have twins, so we have that in common. She has girls and I have boys.
Her husband was also in the military. He was wounded in Viet Nam. We had a very nice dinner and talked about our lives and so learned a lot about each other. I enjoyed the day. She is originally from Syracuse, New York, but moved to Virginia quite a long time ago.
She wanted to hear about some of my FREE trips and she also wants to see some of my jewelry. She is actually interested in purchasing some of it, so I’m going to invite her and her daughters over to look at it later this month. I’ll have to set up a table and put it all out again. I really don’t have that much left, but hopefully she will find some things and I have greatly reduced the prices so we will both benefit, I’m sure.
It rained yesterday also, so we had to dodge the raindrops to get in and out of the restaurant, but we were glad we did. It was a nice day.

haha, from the title, I thought that you had left the window opened, and the rain splashed on your face to wake you up.
Over here, we have a few nights of heavy rain, but it stopped before 6 am.
Most of us woke up to find the ground wet, and the air fresh.

No, I keep the windows closed and locked. We have a security system in place The air is fresh after the rain. That's a good thing, but I'm really getting tired of so much rain. We had to dodge the raindrops yesterday.

@IreneVincent Over here, most of us do not have security system in place.
We live in high rise apartments, so the risk of robberies is quite low, and the only place the intruders can come in is through main door.
Since there are many units on each floor, and in some of our blocks, there are several CCTVs, it is quite safe for us not to spend money on security system.

@scheng1 Yes, I can imagine that a robbery would not take place very easily in a high rise apartment building with security cameras and only one main door.

No, it was not fun. My daughter and her family went camping this week end, not in tents, but in a cabin. They were disappointed with all the rain, but said they still had a good time. She sent several pictures on Instagram and even in the rain, it looked like they were enjoying themselves immensely.

Oh my! Sounds like you are getting a lot of rain too. The wind is howling here this morning and I can see the leaves on the trees stirring around. The ground has to be saturated with all the rain we've had lately, so I hope no trees come down with this wind.
I will watch the noon news and see what the rain levels are, but I'm sure we are way over our usual levels for this time of the year. It's better than having dry weather, I guess. No brush fires will be a problem, with this weather.
