I had a crush on someone from a very different country and somehow she was my mentor too. Sadly it was all on earlier mylot and on newer mylot she never returned. Then there were also others who were some of my best friends. But love and getting things moving far... it was always late as I arrived here after my marriage and I love my wife a lot. Some of my best friends here are no longer in this world and I really feel sad as I loved them as very dear friends. If at all I had the monies, I would have taken chances to be with them during their last days

I think I meant online sites like myLot or others. I am not against dating per se. Dating in real life is "work" enough. Online dating is whole another ballgame, man.

Hi Ananya! Well, I haven't experienced dating anybody on Mylot. I was already married when I registered. Actually, I haven't met anyone on Mylot in person yet except for my friends that I referred and I already knew them. I did date some guys I met online when MIRC was a thing. I don't think it's impossible for Mylot users to find romance here though since it's full of intellectual, interesting, and humorous people.

I've never dated anyone here on myLot. I also don't see myself dating anyone here (or anyone I've known on the internet) in the future because I'm a private person and it's not easy to open up to strangers. It would be interesting to hear other myLotters' love stories though.

@anya12adwi I've heard a few horror stories of people meeting someone from the internet. It made me paranoid. That said, I think it's okay to date someone from the internet as long as you're careful. You should also listen to your guts. I just think it doesn't work for me.
