He Wants to Play with the Stray Cat

My dog always wanted to go out because it was curious about the new cat that made our garage its home. It frequented the place after I gave it some food, so it felt he is welcome here as an addition to the household. But my dog was so noisy when it hears the cat meow. I let the dog out but I kept watch because the cat might scratch the dog's eyes, or there could be close contact between them and I fear the dog might get rabies from the stray cat. Do you also adopt stray animals as pets?

No but I just feed them when they get nearer to my cats eating their foods.

@acelawrites I see, for me I don't want to adopt many astray cats because they are not discipline, they are throwing their waste everywhere.

I somehow adopted it as a defense against snakes who might come near our home.

No I don't adopt stray animals anymore because my two dogs are the jealous type and they might just slaughter the stray animal just as they did with my adopted turtle.

@acelawrites Very jealous and also with cats or any other dogs for that matter.

I think my dog is also jealous with that cat specially when it sees I am feeding it. Your dogs are really jealous of your turtle!

I have a stray cat and loved to play with my three dogs. They are BFF.

There aren't any strays round here, though the neighbour's cat often comes through my garden. No problem though as we don't have a dog.

You have good restrictions against stray animals. Here we have lots of stray cats, and I think my neighbors also feed them. We don't have stray dogs here.

When you always feed them, they will love getting inside your gate. Cats are like that.

We don't get stray animals around here much which is probably good. It is also good that we don't have rabies in Australia.

So very nice, you don't have rabies there; they have good sanitation and animal care services. In our place, we have only stray cats but stray dogs are not allowed; it is prohibited or they are put in a dog pound.

@acelawrites It would be hard to stop stray cats from breeding.
