Our monthly meeting of our alumni batch is schedule every last Sunday of the month but we did this earlier, last Sunday. I asked our secretary to send messages to our batch mates and classmates in high school and we gather in our school canteen, our main venue. Our topic was about on how to help our friend who was indicted in foreign land. My best friend in high school was indicted and she send me messages to pray for her. Upon knowing this news, I was shocked and saddened of her fate. I told her to hold on her faith to God and asked forgiveness if she committed it and that's the reason why I called our batch mates to pray for her. Some of our classmates reacted too much on this issue, they backbite her instead of keeping there mouth shut and I asked them that we'll unite as one and asked God's guidance to our friend and can solved this problem. Backbite can't solve the problem, it can make someone's reputation shuttered so I advise them to keep quite and pray for her, that's the only thing we can help her as her real friends. What can you say friends, am I right?

Your friend does not need gossips.. What she needs are understanding hearts and prayers. What is wrong with those people? Jumping to their own conclusions even they do not know the truth.

@ida123 That is something we need to change. I hope they have realized what you said and stop thinking too much.

You are correct but most people are jumping into conclusion right after they hear something, they don't even ask and try to listen what's really going on.

@ida123 the poem 'footprints in the sand' is a revelation that God never ceases to watch over u even when we forget Him because of the problems that life gives us.

They shouldn't have been there if they only want to gossip. It's sad how fellow Filipinos try to put us down in times of needs instead of helping us out.

Yes, but not fellow Filipinos because that is so broad and many, we are all batch mates and classmates before, so we don't have to put everyone down, we have to help each other.

@toniganzon Yes, you are right. Because of gossip, it will leak to everyone's ears and it will spread to everybody's mouth and so on and the worst, we all talk against our own friend.

yes, very right. Hearing one side of story and not the true story is not enough for us to judge. And even if she did the crime, there must be some reason.

@ida123 judging people without knowing them or knowing the real situation or both sides of stories often leads to broken trust and relationships.

That is true. I really don't know the real story because I don't want to ask her about the details, it might offend her. I'll just wait if she will be the one to say it.

I think that is my best advise to them so that the news won't leak to everybody and our friends reputation won't be shuttered to pieces, I really pitied her. And thank you if my opinion is right at least I can breath now.

@marlina Thank you friend and that's the only thing I think we can help our friend, saying and sending a prayer for her.

Maybe they want to know what happened to her, but not necessarily backbiting her. Maybe they want to know the truth.

Actually, I never know the real story behind. What our other batch mates did, they made many speculations that can ruin her and because of that I was hurt of what they did.

@ida123 Then I think you must have a background about what happened to her my friend. Why asking prayer, maybe she did something wrong there?

That is my first reaction upon learning that they gossip to everyone and I think, they have no conscience why they did this to our very own classmate.

I think, she was not yet arrested. She was filed a formal charges and she plead not guilty. I don't know the real reason behind her case.

What is happening to my friend is a very sad event of her life. She is in a foreign land and she has no many real friends there where she can confide all her burdens.

I think they envy her but they just don't know the hardship she encounter in having this and that's the reason why other's won't pray for others.

You are right, instead of insulting your classmate, they should understand her predicament and whatever she had done, they should just pray that she can find the solution to it.
