What Games Did You Play When You Were Young (Child)?

As we get older, we always reminisce what games we played as a child. During the olden days, children love to play with other children outside their homes like hide and seek, jumping rope, running, ball games, etc. that require physical activity. It makes children physically fit and sociable, unlike today where children are usually playing on their electronic gadgets, virtual games, etc. with the tendency of sitting for hours in front of computers. It makes them less active and obese. What games do you like when you were a child?

You are so naughty! I guess you are Filipino, why do you know "bahay-bahayan" (playhouse) if you are pure Canadian? Or is your father or Mother Filipino? I guess!

A lot. Hide and seek, step in step out, jackstone, marco polo etc... We do interact with our neighbors often on our time and we mostly play all that physical activities. Unlike now..

Yes, there were so many games I could not remember the names; sometimes we used our slippers for it.

You are endowed as a child because you have bikes and skates. For poor children like us, we played with each other, or lucky if our parents make a toy car, etc. for us. It was fashioned out of tin cans and bottle caps as wheels.

As we lived on a farm I didn't really have playmates but we always had lots of pets and I would be outside most of the day playing with them. I also liked to read but the daytime was for being outside.

Hide and Seek, Running, You are "It", ball games, I spy, human chain There was this game where we used to occupy corners of the room/play area and one person was to be left out. Then we will change corners with the nearest person. The person left out has to grab the opportunity to get himself that corner. It continues like that. There was this game where one kid was asked to select Up or Down. If he selected down, the remaining of us were prohibited to stand on any place that is on ground. We have to be on someplace elevated even if slightly from the ground. Or else we would be caught and kicked out of the game. LOL
