35 years of marriage

My parents just recently celebrated there 35 wedding anniversary. So hard to believe it's been that long for them. Watching them as I grew up I learned what love and marriage was suppose to be like and now that I'm marriage I get to go through the same things as they once did. I hope we are married just as long as my parents have been. So my parents asked for a simple cake that had there wedding colors and kind of matched there wedding cake they had 35 years ago.This one was small and feed us all. It was supper beautiful. It was white and blue which back when my parents got married 80's white and blue with ruffles was the thing. So the cake was white with blue flowers so very pretty and simple.

Congrulations! It's not a race to see who is married the longest but it has been a while for them. I've married for 6 years and I know that is small compared to others but still longer then a lot of other people.

Wishing them a very Happy 35th Marriage Anniversary. People like your parents are a real inspiration to the younger generation. These days when separation is easy, your parents show that true love fights all odds and lives on. 35 years is a long long time. I will pray that their bond continues to grow this way & they celebrate many more years to come. God Bless them

Congrats one year is a big deal! We celebrated in March our 6 years wedding anniversary. It's be tough but we made it this long and have many more years ago. Can't wait to get to 10 years.

Its not easy to keep the family alway happiness. But our parents have done the great job. Young people need to learn alot from them.

@maxilimian lol we where not in a relationship together till about 5 years later. We had been friendly I would say with each other. Had the same group of friends went to school and had a few classes together but went to different colleges and fate found away to bring us back together 2 years later. We talked here and there after high school saw each other around the Mall where we both worked at.

Thank you! It was a nice cake while it lasted and it tasted really good as well. I'm hoping my marriage with my husband last just as long as my parents or even longer. It's not often you hear about people getting married one time and staying together for long periods of time. My husband and I have been married for 6 years but have know each other for like 11 years almost 12 years that is long time already.
