60 cookbooks and no inspiration

I'm trying to make my grocery shopping list for tomorrow's visit to the store and I am having a hard time because I am having a difficult time planning meals. When that happens, I start flipping through some of my cookbooks for inspiration as to what dishes I'm going to make. I have a lot of cookbooks. Lots. Like 60+ just in the kitchen alone. I've flipped through half a dozen of them so far and nothing but Cobb salad sounded good to me so far. I'm definitely in a cooking rut. I don't want Italian. I don't want Mexican. I don't want barbecue. Even classic American dishes aren't doing it for me. I love to cook but none of the recipes sound good to me. I guess I'll just keep flipping. Something's gotta click in one of these books.

well, maybe you need to select one recipe and then buy the ingredients

Perhaps you shall try some smartphone cooking apps. I often have cooking inspirations from them
