An Unwanted Guest in a Garden Wedding

This lovely woman was dreaming for a wedding that will take place in a beautiful garden in the month of June. And this woman, who happened to be my niece...will see her dream come true tomorrow.
But we’ve foreseen one unwanted guest. The rain! There have been some rains lately although not every day. So, we've been praying to ask God for a good weather. A garden wedding in the rain was not her dream of course.
We have plan B but that will not fulfill the exact dream of my niece so would you please join me in praying for a good weather tomorrow?
Did the bad weather ever ruin your special occasion?

@just4him Oh dear sorry it ended up in divorce.
It rained on my wedding and folks said it is a sign of prosperity that our marriage will be showered with blessings. Oh well, I am not superstitious, I only trust God who is the only giver of blessings.

@salonga It didn't affect mine either. We had eloped to Las Vegas. We were both in the Navy and couldn't take the time off. I don't know why, but I looked at that cloudy rainy day as an omen of bad luck for our marriage, and I'm not superstitious. Our marriage lasted 21 years before we divorced.

Okay, here is my prayer . . . . "Heavenly Father, I know we need rain in our country so badly to grow all the plants that we eat. But on the day of the garden wedding of MorningGirl's niece, we implore you to hold the rain up in the sky for the time being and let the sun to shine bright with some light, lukewarm breeze instead. We pray that you shower the young wedding couple with your blessing for their good health, inimitable happiness, and unconditional love for a happy marriage! Amen!"
I am going to attend a baby shower later this afternoon . . and I am asked to lead a baby shower prayer, too.

Julito, thank you so much for your prayer! God answered it. Praise God! The weather was very fine yesterday, the wedding went on smoothly and with more than 100 percent attendants.
Thank you my friend.
I am certain that the baby shower will be very successful with you leading the prayer.

@salonga you are welcome, friend. Glad to let you know the baby shower was fun! As usual I injected a lil' humor at the end of my baby shower prayer. And I went home full in the stomach coz so many Asian and western foods to choose from. I ate lotcha bibingka . . . .

@ridingbet I don't believe in superstition. I only trust God and that whatever comes, it is only within God’s sovereign control. God will bless every couple that will not get out of his will, will live their married life in accordance with His design. It is not whether it will rain on their wedding day or not.

It's like rain on your wedding day. It's a free ride when you've already paid... Isn't it ironic?
Hihi just singing! Ironic by Alanis Morisette...
I hope rain will come a little later in the evening or afternoon after the wedding. Let us pray for that.

My reception after my wedding was going to be in my father's beautiful yard. It rained. He had just finished a huge garage so it was sparkling clean. A neighbor came over with his tractor and trailer and the men removed everything in the garage, (moved it to the farmers home) swept it clean and then the women up with decorations. It was beautiful when they did their magic. It rained off and on so the gardens were used during the dry times. The wedding will be beautiful for her, rain or shine!

Even though it wasn't what she planned, she shouldn't let the rain ruin her day.
