RIP to the greatest boxer, Muhammad Ali.
Ali Mall was constructed in 1975 after Ali's victory against Joe Frazier in "Thrilla in Manila" that was held in Araneta Coliseum.
Muhammad Ali is part of Philippine history. Ali Mall is the first Mall built for the Filipinos in honor of his victory.

Ali Mall is our frequent hang out when I was still in high school. It was always the place that we go to after classes, aside from SM. It's been a while since I have been there. Aside from being a world class boxer, Muhammad Ali has also been an activist. It is really sad when good people are taken away, but at least now he is in peace and will no longer have to suffer his condition.

While listening to CNN today on the life and boxing victories of Muhammed Ali, one of the high points of the telecast was when a recorded speech by the late boxer [recorded many years ago] was played, where he made some profound statements. One of the profound statements he made was that LIFE SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT IMPACT AND SHOULDN'T JUST BE MEASURED BY THE LENGTH OF YEARS A MAN/WOMAN HAS LIVED ON EARTH. Wow! Awesome words!

It is in Cubao, near the Araneta Coliseum where he fought Joe in 1975.
