~I Ran Like I Was Dying!~

I was outside this morning, minding my own business. I had a cup of coffee in my hands while I was letting the dog out to use the bathroom.
All of a sudden there was a buzzing noise so I quickly moved away from the noise. Then it started chasing me! Anywhere I went-it followed.
I was so scared I started running and scrambling to get into the house. I spilled a perfectly good cup of coffee all over myself and the ground.
I ran into the house (avoiding the sting of the wasp) and told my husband to bring the dog inside. I was scared for my life!
My neighbor probably thinks I am losing my mind...

@LovingMyBabies I am terrorized by wasps : a sting of a wasp makes me inflate during 2 or 3 days. I had a wasp in the house 3 weeks ago, and I open my windows only when my shutters are closed now.

Now that must have been a sight. I guess the wasp was determined to sting you. I would probably get a little freaked as well if the wasp was following me.

I am afraid of wasps (not many here) and of bees. When a bee enters my house I do my best to shoo it away unharmed.

I get bees in the house in the summer time. I don't know how they get in, but they like my bedroom light. I was stung multiple times at night by these wasps/yellow jackets/hornets. I would spray and I had to stay up half the night and then make sure they were not on my bed or they would sting me again. Makes me want to move to Antartica.

@LovingMyBabies Thanks! Those things were very aggressive. They see me coming up the stairs and they zoom over and go for my face. I hate things like that.

Aww. . If prior to the wasp attack she had had a premonition that she was going to spill a cup of coffee all over herself while running from the wasp , she probably would have opted to finish drinking the coffee indoors before coming outside.

The sting of a wasp is really hurting. You were lucky to get away from the wasp. I imagine you running scared of this insect.

If I were you, @LovingMyBabies, I would not only run but I would also jump. Yes. It's true! Any flying insect makes me jump. That wasp and your coffee reminded me of my coffee one early morning. I was really enjoying watching my favorite Korean drama when suddenly a cockroach got inside my room and landed inside my mug of coffee!!! I hate those people who don't clean their room that's why cockroaches love living here.

Three years ago, I wouldn't even know what a wasp looks like. From where I was born and grew up, wasps were not common. Now that I moved here, I didn't know any better, until I saw first hand what a sting does to a person. The neighbor's kid was stung and he looked so miserable. They have to call the ambulance because they don't think they will get in the hospital on time. I don't blame you for bailing out from your dogs - I would too.

I'm pretty sure a couple years ago when I was weed eating my neighbor thought I had lost my mind. Around a rose bush I started getting stung as I went over a yellow jacket's nest. I threw the weed eater to the ground and flung my arms around like a wild woman. He came over to see if I was okay and when he saw the weed eater partly covered with yellow jackets he took off, he's allergic. I went in to see the damage and my mouth looked like I had taken one too many Botox injections. This is why I really really really love winter the best...we don't look like idiots in front of our neighbors by running from stinging biting creatures Have a blessed day
