Crazy Day... for others

I told you that we were expecting a lot of babies this spring... five to be exact. My niece had her twins a few weeks ago. Well, two more babies were born today... on the exact same day as two other birthdays in our family. Okay, no more June 5th babies people. My calendar is full! Hubby's nephew had their second daughter early this morning, Isabelle. My nephew had his first baby a couple of hours ago, baby girl Khloey. Then I got on Facebook and saw a long time family friend (our fathers were buddies long before we were born, even before her parents were married) got engaged. She is a year younger than me (so 52) and has been with her guy forever... at least 10 years. My older daughter and her boyfriend left for a 2 week trek across Europe yesterday so they're missing all the announcements. I have been following the vlog of one Roman Atwood who is in the Bahamas right now with his family. He's shown some amazing video of fish in the sea while snorkeling and scuba diving. He is having a blast with his family whom he loves so much. He finished yesterday's (today's) vlog with a question, "What are you working on right now?" Well, gee, I wish I was having as much fun as him. Or Zak Bagans (Ghost Adventures) who is in Colorado and snap chatted his ride on an amazing mountain roller coaster. What am I doing? I'm watching Grease Live again... and should get back to the laundry. I really need to get a life.

Your life, like mine, is mostly online. It is a life but kind of confined.

Living a fun life vicariously through others online is pretty depressing. Maybe if I got off the computer I would be doing some of those things... but I need to earn money on here. But I should get back to writing my novel.

life is not about doing things like you have watched. on the other hand, that's a lot of babies in your family line in just a single month and year. cool!

We still have another one coming... I think she's due in July. Though we've seen a lot of girl babies lately, I hope hubby's niece has a girl as she already has a boy. Then.... we're done.

@trivia79 Five from May to July is enough for now. I haven't heard of any others... though my younger daughter is hoping her sister will bring a bun in the oven home with her from Europe. She better not!!!

I keep saying that I need to get a life too. Need to start doing some fun things that I like to do! Trying to plan a day trip to the beach with my sister and daughters. But, with the car acting up, that isn't plausible at the present time. Once the car is running better I will just pick a day and go! Now, it is time to strip the bed and put fresh linens on it, start a load of laundry, fold the clothes in the dryer, and maybe start reading a new book.

@patgalca I managed to get it all done. But, by the time I lay my head on my pillow with my book in hand, I knew I could only read a few pages before I was ready to fall asleep. Hope you didn't get distracted by Grease again!

@ElusiveButterfly Got my laundry done but the minute my head hit the pillow I got a stomach ache and slept very little last night. Had a gingerale and jammies day today. Out of all the songs I could have had in my head when I woke up this morning, I woke up to "Freddy My Love". LOL!

Thanks for reminding me to get back to the laundry. The Canadian channel was airing Grease Live again tonight and I couldn't tear myself away from it.

My daughter doesn't have any money. She gets free air fare but she's still going to have to spend a lot of money on that trip. But she'll have a blast I'm sure. But you're right... those guys have the money to do all that fun stuff, and we don't.

Yeah, being out vacation doing fun things would be great. The only thing is that takes money. It's probably not cheap to be having an adventure in the Bahamas. If you don't live in Colorado then it wouldn't be cheap to get there, rent a place to stay and do all the things you want to do including riding the mountain roller coster. Now I need to get back to my laundry.

Those were just two examples of how I should be enjoying my life instead of being locked up in this house with no money to do anything or go anywhere.

@RichardMeister Nope. A/C is up and running again. The BF (daughter's) had put on a new thermostat. For some reason the fan wasn't working and the lines were freezing. He was getting frustrated trying to figure it out. So he just got ANOTHER new thermostat and it's running fine now. Fingers crossed because he is away for two weeks. Though it's another chilly day here. Going to be wearing my winter coat to daughter's soccer game tonight.

@patgalca My laundry is done but I'm sticking close to home because we are having record breaking high temperatures and the air conditioning feels quit good. Oh, sorry, I forgot your A/C is on the fritz. We broke records both Sunday and Monday but the forecast calls for it to be just a couple of degrees below the record today (95º F 35º C). Then by Saturday it is supposed to cool down to 63º F (17º C). Speaking of a roller coaster ride....
