The Back Pain That Got Me Worried

Like I said before , I rarely get a back pain . But the other Sunday , I was surprised when in the middle of the night , I felt the back pain while lying in bed in whatever sleeping position I did . I didn’t get to sleep well that night . I know I had sore muscles , because that Sunday morning , I exercised my usual exercise with some crunches that my husband and daughter told me to stop doing because I am already old for those. And I exercised after more than 3 weeks of not exercising at all . I took the medicine celecoxib tablet , 200 mg . once and was already fine after taking that . But when I went to sleep that night , it was as painful as before . I told myself , I will take it twice the next day and for the next day still . So , I did and was so happy , when after taking it for those two days , my back pain was all gone . No need to go to a rheumatologist . And I exercised again this weekends and didn’t experience the back pain anymore . Oh gosh , that backpain got me really worried and felt really old because of that .

Maybe, that is only flatulence, When you sweat a lot and you dried it from the help of an electric fan, that can cause flatulence and it is very painful in any parts of our body, it might be in your stomach, back or anywhere in your body. It also cause when you take a bath then go to your work immediately, the pores of your skin is open so the air will come inside and it cause flatulence, try to use liniment oil in the affected area, this may help to stop the flatulence, try it friend.

No it's not flatulence . I always sweat and use electric fan after wiping them , yet i don't get that . I know that it's that - sore muscles from exercising again with additional 30 minutes than the usual, after quite sometime of not doing them .

@lookatdesktop That is our observation here, we are used to flatulence because we are here in tropical countries and so we need electric fan every now and then, so the sweat become dry and later on, our back or abdomen part of our body becomes pain and we just rub it with a liniment oil, the pain will subside and gone.

It was a great thing that you are pain free now. You can also try to do some Proper Body Mechanics. It can also prevent from having low back pain.

If you use a fan, this is what caused your back pain. If you exercise with a fun blowing on you, stop it. I know that it is unpleasant to sweat, but it's better not to use something that blows on you. Take a shower after the exercise.

We are always using electric fans at home, specially when sleeping . It doesn't give us back pain . What i do know is that i haven't exercised for more than 3 weeks and exercised again this time a bit longer for 30 minutes so that's 1 1/2 hours . Then , the back pain that night . Is it safe to take a shower after an exercise ? What i do is i take a rest first after the exercise , wipe those sweat and eat . After a while i take a bath .

@LadyDuck Oh i do that whenever i am exercising . After exercising , i wipe all the sweat and fan myself again . Why is it not good to do ?

@SIMPLYD A fan while you sleep is fine, while you are exercising and it blows on you while you are sweating is not. Everybody take a shower after exercising here.

I am glad that you are pain free now. I know what it is to struggle with back pain. I keep away from all exercises that trigger it off. I just walk a couple of km everyday.

Good for you . How i wish i can also do walking . But with my hectic schedule - having a full time job and weekends divided between chores and resting and family activities , i cannot . So i just exercise for an hour on weekends but sometimes i slacken like this one and this happened . So , no more slackening and i now don't do those that involves bending . I am not a young once already .

No , friend . I just took celecoxib . Well, it's been more than 5 days now and it hasn't bothered me again . So, i am now eliminating some crunches that can strain the back because i know i am not that young anymore to still do it without suffering back pain.

I'm also a physical buff and try to keep myself fit by exercising. You should research the kind of exercise you do before you actually perform them. Some can cause harm or are outright dangerous. Abdominal works like crunches if improperly done WILL cause back pain. Your age should be taken into consideration. We're no longer spring chicken.

I thought of my age also . That's why i am not doing that gadget which we pull and sit up and pull it down again . I will just be dancing and doing some dumb bell exercises. My target area actually is my a bit protruding tummy .

When my body is sore due to back pain or muscle pain, I take strong magnesium capsule before going to bed which is really good to relax my muscles and I could sleep well.

@SIMPLYD yes, but it depends how sore your back is. You have to take a back massage for that. That will help.

For how long does it eventually takes away the back pain ? My husband also uses that for his back pain . But since i have been prescribed this celecoxib already many years ago when i cannot get up from the bed one morning , i use it for this which proves so effective.

@SIMPLYD normally an hour or so. Sometimes the mint thing can make me fall asleep. Then when I wake up the pain is gone. That's why I always have salonpas with me every day.

I'm pleased that the pain is gone - just shows you should ease yourself into exercise when you haven't done much for a while.

Actually i have overdone the exercise since i added 30 minutes more to the usual one hour exercise i was doing , hoping i can make up for the lost time . But it was too much for a starter again .
