soggy moggy, sitting in a puddle

We had weather yesterday. Proper weather. Rain had promised to pop along all day but the bright sunshine and fluffy white sheeplike clouds kept him at bay. Then I tootled off to bed and the heavens opened.
There was lashings of Rain. Cool, beautiful, wet Rain, making the world feel fresh and clean. Rain soon had a companion in the form of Thunder and Lightning.
drippity droppety gush, laughed Rain.
flash! chortled Lightning.
grrr, growled Thunder.
I was mostly asleep whilst this was occuring, managing to briefly worry about Dora the Cat who was outside, spending a night on the tiles. She'll be scared! I halfheartedly mumbled to Husband, and then promptly fell fast asleep again.
There was a rather soggy moggy sitting on the shed roof this morning. When I finally let her in she wouldn't stop talking to me. I'm not sure if she was relaying her wonderful stormy adventures in puddles or telling me off for not waking up enough to get up and call her in. She was all purr-y though, so maybe it was the former.
Today is blue skies, odd little puddles, sunshine, stuffiness and humidity. Rain has enjoyed his little visit and scarpered off again. Maybe he'll return later, his flashy, noisy friends tagging along with him.

@LadyDuck Hmmm, it's a bit overcast here. Warm, but cloudy. Have you stolen our sun?!

Fortunately we had a beautiful day. Not too hot, but just right.

We were promised thunder, lightning and heavy rain last night in Manchester.
It didn't happen, unless I was so tired I slept through it. There was some evidence of nocturnal precipitation when I took Hugo for his morning constitutional but I don't think we got the fireworks we were promised!

I think I would have slept through completely if Dora hadn't been on my mind. :)

@Poppylicious .If she purred then I guess she enjoyed the storm as well. We too have these alternate bright one day(AND HOT,HUMID) and rainy the next days here too.
I loved your 'weather' noises.
Pretty picture. Are those your feet?

I imagine your humid is a humid I couldn't even comprehend. You would probably laugh at both the English humidity and the English storms! They are my feet, taken last year. :)
