I live in the suburbs of Dallas but it is becoming more like the central city every day.

Life in the suburbs is supposed to be quiet. But no not here!
Traffic is totally too much. There seems to be nothing but cars going to and fro 24/7.
It's like living next to a raceway. If you took away the cars and then the bars, you might even be able to look up at night and see the stars.
Even the local parks are hard to get around in a car because the side streets are occupied on one side with cars parked at the curbs making it difficult to drive through. They even blocked most entrances to some parks to prevent cruising in the local park's circular configuration.

Our subdivision was just once a peaceful and really quiet place. But once they started connecting the roads from the highway through out neighborhood, crowds grew bigger and so as the traffic. Not to mention crimes went up hill too. Which forced us to have two more dogs to secure home.

So you definitely know where I am coming from. It seems like there are more and more people walking their Pit bull terriers than walking alone.

The concept behind city design needs to be looked at from a newer perspective, a different angle. The flow of traffic throughout the city vs the flow of people leaving the city permanently and being replaced with people who have far less community spirit in them as they adjust to modern city life.
