Whoo hoo! I can hear again!

Last week I was listening to some Youtube videos enjoying myself when suddenly I had no sound. I thought my laptop had a problem because it happened when I switched videos. Turns out my cheap taped together several times over headsets had died. Since we're not swimming in extra cash I asked Daisy to pick me up some inexpensive ear buds when she went shopping today. While I myLot briefly before picking Brandon up at work, I'm listening to my favorite Two Steps From Hell mix. Might be going slowly deaf from the volume but at least I am able to enjoy it again.

I would do something about the volume. You don't want to become deaf. Vince had been saying people mumble a lot and I'm being to agree with him. We will be having our hearing tested soon as not being able to hear clearly is getting past a joke. We're approaching 70 so it's just one of those things I guess.

I have very minor hearing loss but it's from working with loud machinery for a significant part of my employment career. I usually keep the volume within reason. I joke about it anyway.

@koopharper It started off being funny but is now starting to progress past that point. It is now hard work if we're in a biggish group with lots of background noise. It starts to impact on your social life more and more.

It always sucks when your headphones break. I'm glad you got them fixed.

It's been especially frustrating because our home has two rooms: Upstairs and downstairs. Without the headsets I don't get to listen to anything unless everyone else wants to hear it.

The fact that it was those junky old headphones was a relief. That I could afford to replace.

I use headphones when watching videos or listening to music. It allows me to listen to the audio clearly and privately.

The quality of headsets they are making today are really something. Of course how much they cost makes a difference.

I thought you had new hearing aids that's why you said you can hear again. But do not turn on the volume when you are using headsets, because doctors said it damages the ear drums.
