The grandma chair

A long time ago my daughter was a newly wed, with a new baby and a tight budget. Her hubby is a good provider, searcher and scavenger.
He got a free chair. It is small but it is for an adult.
The upholstery was in bad shape, the cat made it worse. But it had good bones.
It was where grandma (me) would get to sit and hold the new granddaughter. They had gotten it from a little old lady that looked like a grandma to them. That is how it got its name.
A few years back, I had my daughter select some swatches of fabric. I ordered enough fabric to cover her chair. I took it to my favorite upholsterer, when we finally brought it down from Minnesota.
My friend the upholsterer has had plenty of work to do, and some bad health issues. Then we moved. I failed to give him my new phone numbers. I called him today. The chair has been ready a while. I cannot get it light enough in here to show you a picture tonight, but maybe I will tomorrow.
He did an excellent job making something old look new again. I love that I am taking the grandma chair back home to Minnesota.

@GardenGerty I would have liked to see a photo of you sitting on the chair.

That is an idea for later, I will do another discussion and have some pictures of it, and maybe even me.
