“Ma’am, when will you expire?”

I forgot to narrate this story when I attended the pre-opening seminar last 7th of this month. Our clinical coordinator informed us to update our files and I told her to submit our latest updates.
One of my colleagues asked me naively: “Ma’am, when will you expire?” I was surprised with her question, so I immediately knocked on wood. (It is a practice for us to knock on wood so the statement will not happen).
While knocking on wood, I asked my colleague, “Why? Do you want me to expire now?” she replied, “No, Ma’am, I mean when your IV therapy card will expire?”
I told her my IV therapy card will expire on my birthday this year. I then asked her to inform me if there will be updates on IV therapy so I can update my card. Having an IV card means I am an IV therapist.
Now, with the picture here, can you guess who among the 3 colleagues asked me that question?

@ridingbet I think that's a common practice. I look for wood too with such statements.

yes, when somebody utters a statement that should be rectified, we knock on wood. i still want to live longer to see my son have his own family.

LOL! The young lady furthest to the left ask you that question.
That is a funny story!
Some people here still knock on wood to ward off evil... (I hope you have not knocked on wood when you saw my name? LOL!)

3 of us wear white blouse and have watches hija, so excluding me, you narrow the choices.

@ridingbet Shucks that I wasn't right. She obviously knows that she can trust you if she asks for your advice.

@jaboUK yes, that is true. that is why she calls me "mudra" or mother in texts and when we converse.

the one in the middle of the three is a pediatric nurse, to handle midwifery students at delivery and labor rooms, and she has 2 kids; she is also a cumlaude, but is always anxious if any of her kids are sick. she is sometimes uncertain of her nursing actions when a family is sick and she would always text me for some advice.
no, my friend, she is not the one.

the nurse on my right? she is also a widow, my friend, like the one in far left, and she will handle students in the community and delivery rooms.
no, she is not the one.

@DianneN really? just a hunch will do. well, actually, i did not put any other clues so it should be a wild guess my friend. some of the commenters chose the right colleague.
