The hairstyle photo online my dsughtr showed me and wants me to do to her hair

Yesterday my 12 year old daughter told me she wants to get her hair buzzed. She showed me a photo she found online of how she wants it. I attached the photo to this post. I told her we could do it sometime today. My son is over due for a haircut and reminded me yesterday as well that it needs to be done. Today my father came in and had me cut his hair in the back this morning as it was getting quite long. His curls and gets really bushy so it was due for a cut. I guess it is just that time of the year when everyone wants it shorter for summer.

I would like mine about two inches longer so I could get it up in a tight pony tail. I imagine that summer is a good time for unusual hair cuts so that if your daughter hates it it can grow out. I think hair just grows faster in the summer.

My daughters hair grows so slow. I let her get her hair cut in a salon in 2012 which was up to her chin. I gave a trim when it got straggly once but nothing else. Her hair has only grown since then (4 years) down to about the bottom of her chest. My hair grows so fast it shocks me how slow hers grows.

We shaved one little spot like in the photo I posted but yea the rest of her hair is longer. Its a little curly and comes down about the bottom of her chest.

i cut my own hair but i have never tried that style. nice pick though. will she be dyeing it like that too?

It would be an easy style for someone to do on their own I think. She wants to dry streaks of it neon green but I haven't decided if we will do that yet. It would only be temporary dye so it will wash out before school starts in August.

I see so many young people doing hair cuts similar to what your daughter wants. My hair is very long and I just trim it myself every 6 months or so. I hope everyone got what they wanted!

Everyone is happy with their haircuts so that makes me happy. There are some unusual styles no a days. I just trim the end of my hair myself when it gets too straggly or uneven.

@CRK109 I cut my husbands once too and he never wanted me to do it again lol The first bunch of times I cut my sons hair it was a disaster as well but I've gotten the hang of it now. Saves money on not having to go to the barber.

It does help to have the hair shorter in the summer months so your head doesn't get so hot.

this kinda thing happens to me too sometimes... no one would even think of a haircut one day, then all of the sudden all four of my boys wanted it within just a day or two of each other...

I need to cut my sons hair it looks bad as long and puffy as its getting. Maybe he will let me cut it soon. I have been intending to do it since the last day of school on June 1st.

It was actually very simple the cut. I just parted it snipped her hair shorter in that spot and then buzzed it.

She saw one of her classmates today when we went up to the school to ride bikes. The girl said that she isn't her friend anymore because she looks weird. I hope she was joking or that is a rotten way to think. I am proud of my daughter for liking it no matter what anyone else says.
