I have been soooo heartbroken, angry, extremely sad and disturbed with EVERYTHING that is happening in OUR "world"- OUR Planet. I am trying to understand and be aware every time... but I get confused WHY do some people wants TO DO Violence and SEE OTHER People suffer, die and/or live in horror. I don't understand why some people or group of people believe that WAR and VIOLENCE and KILLINGS is an act of faith to their god or to their religion. WHY can't we just RESPECT each other? WHY can't we LIVE RESPECTING each other? WHY can't we RESPECT our DIFFERENCES? WHY can't we just LOVE?! I don't understand why we make an issue-- and be mad or angry with other people's differences-- from religion, gender preferences, political beliefs, and race and such other things. I fear that if this war won't end-- I fear that if my child chooses to be who he wants to be or be with someone who he loves--- will also be discriminated, disrespected, or will die. Just because some people believe that being different is not right. Just because it is against their religion. Just because they think that being WHO YOU ARE has no right to live. I live in a world where labeling people is the way of knowing if we should accept and respect an individual or a person. I live in a world where shootings, killings, suicide bombings and blood bath has become a "regular thing"-- expecting it to happen. Just sad. Hurting.

The world at the moment seems to have a lot of negativity to it but there are also many good people still trying to do the right thing.

Yes you're right.. there are still soooo many amazing good people in this world. And I still have hopes that we can be united as ONE.

Despite our scientific and technological progress we are stuck in stone age with regard to how we accept others. The only difference is we have more powerful weapons than stones to show our might! It is beyond me to see the atrocities perpetrated in the name of beliefs. Are there not better teachings than to kill another? It is time to disown those who act on behalf of religions by their own followers and thereby send an unequivocal message - siva

Weapons that we- HUMANs created and continuously make and making it more powerful-- deadly. Some people CHOOSE to be stuck in that stone age and be ignorant. They are changing the world through violence. Sadly, most adults are teaching the young children to hold and use those deadly weapons. At a young age, they will know how to practice that act of killing another person. It would be best if see each other as a HUMAN-- not by religion, skin color, gender..

@therealmaryyy I have been writing along these lines for the last six years on online sites. The poorest of the poor nations have enemies as their neighbors and big powers supply them weapons for profit and thus gain when they are at loggerheads. They have money to buy weapons but not for food and health. The majority under the same faith choose to seek refuge in alien culture when under threat from their own - why? And big powers are shocked and cry hoarse when others too want to be like them - to produce weapons of mass destruction! Can there be a bigger hypocrisy? The issue is those who matter want the status quo to continue. Yes, religion and beliefs have served to divide us. We have created more gods for our comfort though we share the air we breathe and even our body is made the same, from the same source. Any man, woman, whatever their beliefs, can produce a child but we still manage to create issues and kill another in the name of unseen gods - siva
