Of course I forgot my book

I always bring my cell phone, ipod and book up next to my bed at night while I sleep. I never get time to read my book as my daughter always sleeps in my bed so I can't turn the light on without waking her up. I haven't been able to sleep well last night or this morning. My son was up pretty late so he will probably sleep for a few more hours. The one day I can't sleep and now I forgot my book downstairs last night grrrr. At least I have my ipod so I can be on mylot rather then just lay here for hours looking at the ceiling.

I always keep my tablets, book and laptop by my bed so when I can't sleep I can be on one of those til I do sleep. I haven't had issues falling asleep lately so that's good. I do toss and turn alot in my sleep but then eventually fall asleep. Hope mylotting helps you get sleepy so you can get more sleep before the kids wake up

I wasn't on mylot long before I was tired enough to close my eyes. It tookme awhile to fall back asleep though and I was up fairly early for the day.

Uhm... may I ask if your phone is a smart phone, shaggin? Uhm... and if your iPod has internet access... uhh... why don't you have some books on one of those? I've almost quit reading paper books now. I either use Wattpad on my phone and read books from there or I have the Kindle app on my phone, as well, so I read books through it, no matter where I am. The Wattpad app even has a night time screen that reverses the colors so your words are white and the screen dark. The white words put out minimal light so you can read beside a sleeping person without waking them.

My phone is a smart phone and yes my ipod has internet access via the wifi. I only like reading books in print.

@DaddyEvil It would take up a lot less room in my house if I got rid of all the print books I have accumulated free over the years and read them on my ipod instead. I doubt I will ever do that though. Theres just something about holding a book in my hand and turning the pages that I love.

@shaggin I see... That is what I said two years ago, too. After I realized how much simpler it is to have over 800 books stored on my SD card as well as books I get for free from Amazon stored on their cloud, I became much less picky about the medium I use when I want to read. I would never suggest you should change the way you access or read your books, though. I do like to make sure people are aware of the availability and ease of alternatives, too.

Relax, no storm comes if you forget book and dont read a single day. Why cant you sleep happily for few more hours ? Just take time to sleep with restless world and take a nap, you can you and read the next night.... keep smiling

I just wasn't able to sleep and I hate just laying there staring at the ceiling. It would have been the perfect time to read if I had my book next to me as I usually do.

I laughed, I'm much the same, off I go to bed with phone, tablet and kindle, just in case. I call them my toys.

I thought people would read this post and think I was ridiculous for having all these things next to me while I sleep... just in case. I'm glad to see you among others do the same thing.

I did get a little bit of catching up done but I was exhausted all day from not getting enough sleep. I took my kids to the school to ride bikes for an hour with my daughters friend. That was the only physical exercise I got was walking there and back and I am exhausted haha. I also got a sunburn.

I have all my favourite books stored in my iBook and I sleep with my iPad and my iPhone next to me. I woke up at 2am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep until 4am. I tried to be on here on such an unusual time for me.

Being on at a different usual time for you in mylot how did you do? It's neat to see when I write something who is awake at the time to comment.

One of the things I like about my Kindle Fire (now that I found it again, or I should say now that my wife found it for me) is that I can read it even when the lights are off, so my wife can sleep while I read of play games.

When my man was living here he would sometimes look at his cell phone before bed and it would keep me awake. When I use mine I put the covers over mine and me so it doesnt light up the room and keep my daughter awake.
