Sleepless nights

My newborn baby slept really well in the first few days. He usually just woke up to drink milk, then fell asleep easily. So, I was quite free in the hospital and the few days when I was back to my home.
Recent few nights, my baby does not fall asleep easily in the middle of the night and I try to carry him most of the time. So, I usuallysleep at 6am or even 9am these two days. He still sleeps really well in the day time, but just couldn't fall asleep well in the middle of the night.
Glad that I usually get to take a good nap during the day, so now I am like taking night shift where I sleep in the day time (of course still need to wake up and breastfeed my baby) and stay up in the middle of the night.
Hope my baby will sleep better at night soon, as I am sure I will fall sick easily if I continue not to sleep at night.

During the night, I do that as well. But during the day time, as I have another two children, so I have to or try to spend time with them as well. Sometimes, they want me to accompany them.
I was fine with my first two children even though I had to carry them throughout the whole night, but now I always get headache, perhaps it's because I am not young anymore.

@kaka135 Headache is due to lack of sleep and energy.

This was with my daughter. She used to be wide awake the whole night and sleep through the day. I used to sleep when ever she used to sleep, ofcourse she is my first child so it was easy for me to cope. but with a third child it is very difficult. My second child thankfully slept all through the night. anyways the child will change its sleeping habits once it starts growing and playing. What about your other 2 kids, how old are they? Are they managing things themselves? Do you have somebody to help you out in the kitchen?

If this situation still keeps the same, then you can watch the Olympics at night this summer
Perhaps your new born baby has slept so much in the daytime and therefore it is not easy to sleep at night and he is energetic at that time. You have to change his schedule slowly step by step unless you want to stay up to watch Olympics

That abnormal sleeping time happens to almost all babies so it is really very hard for the mother. I hope you could cope and hope your baby's sleeping routine will turn to normal.

As the day passes by, a newborn baby's sleeping pattern changes.

oh well, you can do it.
the baby's attitude will change every now and then anyway..
