Words to live by, and changes.
I used to say, time is gold.
Now, you can make more.money but you can not.make more time. (Taken from "Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren).
Somehow, there has been an "evolution" of my motto or mottos in life.
From "try and try until.you succeed", to "When you want something, all the Universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”(Paulo Coehlo's The Alchemist)
That "better late than never", to "there is no such thing as too late".(Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie.)
They are.from my favorite.books.
Not just because i love those, i get the "essence" of those lines as i get older.
Have yours changed.too as you get older too?

A lot of times. One of them was time is gold too and it has changed to there's no success if you haven't gone through failures.

Yes, I tend to value God's words more than human sayings these days,,. and they make so much sense to me and fill me with peace. This scripture I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13 gives me so much energy and helps me get past all difficulties. This is just one example.

I think old sayings stand true e.g. 'Time is gold" or "Better late than never" or "try and try again you will succeed at last". When a friend/colleague feels dissatisfied with something or some achievement and feel disappointed, I encourage him by saying - "something is better than nothing".
My personal favourite is "Tomorrow never comes" and I follow it in my life. I try my best not to keep anything pending with me. Of course, as we grow older we get to understand the real meaning of these kinds of sayings.

Everything changes for me as I get older. My outlook on life has changed. The way I act to people and react to them has changed quite a bit. What I hold dear has changed. And I suppose who I am is completely different from who I used to be.

@Lucky15 For me, I think I always had a pretty set purpose to my life. But when my husband passed away, everything about me changed. I think that his passing opened my eyes to so many things I'd just taken for granted before. Now I live my life in a completely different way and I've become a lot more peaceful than ever before.

Nice.I love all of them and they are highly meaningful.I don't know much of it clearly but it's like earlier I used to feel we should believe and if we do we will achieve it.Now it's like with the faith and belief we should put that much efforts as well.Only belief will not help me achieve a goal lol.

There is one that my friend will always say "It is never too late to water a dying rose." Though she made it herself, it somehow made an impact in her life. There is hope in everything if you act on it. It somehow helped me in some ways to never give up.
