A Positive Attitude

Earl Nightingale, a personal development pioneer once said: “The mind moves in the direction of your currently dominant thoughts.” When faced with a bad situation, many people say: “Why me?” which is a dis-empowering, negative question. So what a person needs to do is re-focus your attention and ask another question. For instance: “What can I learn from this situation?” When you do that every time, you will begin to realize that you are in control of what the events in your life means to you. When you ask yourself how you can improve the situation, you will discover that you have the POWER to change things, based on your response to the situation. It is basically up to each of us to turn the situation around. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, but it can be done. One of the things I have done, is to go back to other bad situations in my life and confirm that when I reacted positively instead of negatively, things improved much quicker. And, looking back on those situations builds endurance for handling other situations that may come up in the future. When I think of what other persons have endured in their lives, compared to what I have had to face, I am amazed at what some have been able to endure and that makes my problems less traumatic. It reminds me of an old saying that says something to this effect: Don’t complain that you have no shoes to wear, when you contemplate those who have no legs to walk. There are worse things that can happen to you, so be thankful that you have endured until now and have learned lessons from the past. You are stronger now than you have ever been. Don’t forget that. Don’t ever give up. You never know what blessing is right around the corner. You never know what tomorrow will bring.

What you say is so true. You really do need to focus on positive stuff.

Think positive. Think positive. It's always best to think positive, because thinking negatively has no value.

Responding positively result in a better outcome for sure. Our lives can be better if we focus or re-focus on the positives and spend less time on the negative impacts that can enter our lives. We will be surrounded or receive some negativity but we shouldn't allow those negatives to consume our lives. The positive thoughts will outweigh those negative whatever's. Have a blessed weekend.

Yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Negativity can consume our lives if we allow it to do so.
