Giving Some Extras for Labor

It is so good to give some of your extras to the people who have less in life and have to do hard works to earn.
Giving them some incentives like cold water or sandwhich, and an extra cash like a dollar or two, just like what we are doing to the maintenance man in our village. When we see him cutting tall grasses along the roads near us, we ask him to cut the vines that cover the pole of the cable TV wire, and some overgrown tree branches near us.
They are so happy to receive some goodies in exchange for their little work. It is nice to share some bread or other snack foods than let it go stale in the refrigerator.

I always give people more than what they worked for. I like giving incentives. I love sharing my blessings.

@acelawrites This is a very inspiring post. I hope that it will awaken the heart of many especially those who have the means to help the needy.

That is the way of life over there in the Philippines .. Every time I go back home and have people to work on the property, I make sure they are fed well and are paid more .. It is not the thing done here in Australia though .. They bring their own foods and drinks.. they even bring their own water with them ..

@acelawrites Oh yes indeed.. Those poor road/construction workers over there can't afford enough food to bring with them to work.. When I have people working for me over there, they get the three meals a day and plenty of cold drinks.. If I don't have time to prepare, I give them food allowance .. It is important to take care of the workers ..
Labourers here are lucky because they get same or better pay than some people who work in the office ..Whereas over there, the office workers get paid more for sitting around in an air-conditioned room .. Labourers here are also entitled to accident insurance and sick leave, whereas over there, most don't get those benefits .. I hope that change in the near future ...

Laborers/workers here also do that, they bring their own food, but we know they can not always have cold water or good food to bring to work, so we who have more of those necessities can give them as a little help. They appreciate it so much.

@epiffanie That is true, those who sweat much here gets lower pay. There are some promises by the incoming President Duterte to improve their lives, specially the farmers. We hope it will come true.

That is a wonderful deed. Indeed, it is one way to spread the positive vibes in the community. We show love to our neighbors through giving. May you be blessed more by your kind act.

@acelawrites She has a good heart. I haven't done it in our community as people tend to just depend for their living if they know they can always get something from us.

@annierose we choose whom to help. We know if some of them are only taking advantage.

Maybe I inherited that trait from my late mother, who had two beggars for a friend. She would always give them food whenever they pass by; also to some selected poor people in the community.

Yes, we do that also to the hired helper whenever he comes to the house to clean the surroundings . We do not only pay him , but we also provide for his snacks in the morning and in the afternoon . For lunch , he declines because he said he has a packed lunch .

It is a big help for them, instead of buying their own snacks, it also encourages them knowing other people value their work so much.

It is right @ida123, we just put our feet in their shoes, they work so hard under the scorching sun just to earn a little money, so I pity them. We were once so poor also, so I knew how hard it is do such hard labor.

Many people like those laborers do not go hungry because they are using their strength to earn money for their meals. They receive salaries and the extras we give is a great blessing for them. Others really do not know where to find food, though there are government efforts to help them.

They are contract workers hired by the village owner, so we give them such tokens in exchange for that extra work which is not included in their work description. I think it is not a bribe, but just a token for their extra effort. At times we just give them snacks, or a kilo or two of rice and some goodies though we do not ask them for some favor.

It is what I think also, sometimes I give it to the garbage collector.
