Being it is a nice time of the year for most of us a good way to cool off is by having a nice Ice Cream Soda.
There are so many flavors we can have and being creative is the way to go.
Did you know that Chocolate and Vanilla are the two most popular.
Don't you think the ice cream manufactures have done a good job of promoting their product.
My favorite is chocolate what is yours?

I like chocolate best but there are so many flavors. Mocha is good too. Sort of a coffee flavor.

@Marcyaz ......I hear ya on the coffee one. I do like the Jamaica Almond Fudge one we get sometimes. Very tasty.

There are more ice cream commercials that I see than any other commercial! I like ice cream, but not a flat or soda.

How my mom loved ice cream sodas. Whenever we ate in a restaurant, she always ordered one. She even made her own at home with ginger ale, chocolate ice cream and whipped cream if she had any.

@Marcyaz Love them she did, and she also didn't consider them a dessert. She still ate dessert that same day, soda or not!! She absolutely loved chocolate and did her best to have at least one serving every day.

I don't know about promoting products but you just brought back a childhood memory. We had an ice cream shop in my neighborhood and I enjoyed going there to get an ice cream soda. I went in the shop one day and asked the man to serve me a “Hum Dinger”. He was surprised (actually shocked) and asked me “What's that?!” Dumbfounded by his reaction, I said “I want an ice cream soda like what I always get!” He said “Oh! But why do you call it a Hum Dinger?” I replied “That's the words written on the cup!” He looked at the cup and it was like for the very first time he noticed what the words said on the cup that he had been serving his customers with all along! 
My favorite was orange soda with vanilla ice cream.

It is true so many places from our childhood no longer exist. That is a really strange dream. lol Wonder what it does mean for you.

@Marcyaz - It's a good thing I have the memories. Lots of places don't exist any more. I have a recurring dream. I keep going back to places in my childhood and then I get stuck! I turn down a road looking for a place and it's like the road goes nowhere and I never get to where I'm trying to go. But I'm sure I'm in the right place. How come I feel suspended? Well duh! Because it's a dream! Still … it kind of weird to keep having dreams like that over and over. Maybe I'm about to come full circle. I don't know!

I love chocolate and vanilla and the one in the picture looks yummy. It is winter here in Jerusalem so I will wait and do a milk shake again in summer.

Long time since I had ice cream soda..I liked vanilla flavour..shall have very soon..n my kids will have it for first time..
