There are a great many quality female actresses. Who is your favorite? I enjoy Meryl Streep. She been in so many great films. I also have enjoyed Sandra Bullock. She was fantastic in Gravity. Other wonderful actresses include: Jodie Foster, Julia Roberts, Ann Hathaway, Emma Watson, Diane Keaton, Sigourney Weaver, Uma Thurman, Judi Dench, and so many more. I'm sure that I've left off someone that you have enjoyed over the years. Tell me who that is.

@JohnRoberts I've only seen the first one - and I missed 'The Woman in the Van' starring Maggie Smith. I think that was the name.

I like actresses from older films such as Barbara Stanwyck and Bette Davis. In more contemporary stuff, I enjoy Maggie Smith and Emma Thompson.

Outstanding choices. Davis and Stanwyck are legends. Smith is just awesome especially on Downton Abbey.

@JohnRoberts I didn't make it contingent on current actresses. Davis and Stanwyck are good selections. Don't forget Katherine Hepburn. I'll also add Julie Andrews, Ingrid Bergman, Marilyn Monroe, Anne Baxter, Lauren Bacall, and Whoopie Goldberg.

My favorite female actress is Meg Ryan. I think she is very sweet and I like her movies, such as City of Angels.

@JohnRoberts I watched that movie, too. However, Harry is not handsome and therefore I can't rate that movie a very high score

For me, it depends on the kind of movie. The gal from Titanic is on my list.

@JohnRoberts Gracias. I still haven't seen many of her more "serious" films.

@responsiveme Eyes of Laura Mars was a good movie--suspenseful and a bit dark. I really liked Tommy Lee Jones in that.

A lot of them on your list match my list too but I'd definitely add Helen Mirren and Audrey Hepburn. This is excluding the list of my favourite Indian actresses.
