2004 version of a book written by A.J. Quinnell. Thriller about a ex assassin hired to be the bodyguard to a little girl whose wealthy family is concerned after kidnapping has become ram-pit in their home of Mexico City. The main character Creasy is played by Denzel Washington. He was an intelligence agent who has turned mercenary. The ten year old girl (played by Dakota Fanning) is kidnapped and, after a botched money delivery, they presume that the girl is dead. Creasy had just began to warm up to the child and goes on a spree of killing to find out who is behind this and make them pay. The way in which he kills some of these "professionals" is horrible but when you think about how the little girl must have died you feel he is justified. The story makes some turns that are very unexpected and it turns out to be a very entertaining film. I don't usually care for Denzel but he was good in this and I was willing to watch it because Dakota was in it. She's a cutie! Mickey Rourke and Christopher Walkin were also in it.

Did you understand the ending? Maybe I missed something. He had fought and killed until the girl was found and I know he was going to die. I don't get why he left with them.

@TiarasOceanView ....Well, glad I am not the only one. LOL I thought maybe he knew he was going to die and didn't want to do that to Peta.

I have seen this movie and it's not great but gets the job done entertainment wise. Denzel is always a super cool guy and here his cold mercenary begins to care about the girl.

Yes, that was good. Don't usually care for him. He reminds me of Richard Gere for the same reasons. Acts like he is stuck on himself.
