a Seat with a View

The place we sit; the place we ponder; are they the ones with a view?
I personally always look for a seat with a view!
At a restaurant, I choose a window seat, so that I can see passes by . . .
At the airport, I sit at the arrivals to watch the emotions of people when they meet again . . .
Anywhere near the sea, I always select the closest seat to catch the sea breeze on my face while I watch tides change . . .
On a train I the window seat in my favourite because the countryside has a certain mystique from that view. . . . .
In my home, I sit on my arm chair sofa, with the glass doors open wide and watch the birds come and go all day . . .
What seat do you choose in the everyday things of life?
my photo is from our meanderings on Lake Titisee in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg.

It always amazes me when people spend hours on a train with their head in a book or staring at in iPad or phone screen. There is much more entertainment to be had from just looking out of the window!!
On trains you see familiar towns and cities from a completely different perspective!

My husband always gave me the good view and now I do that for my mom when we eat out. When we went to programs I always wanted the FRONT ROW but my husband preferred the back, so it was a quandary. We usually sat in the middle towards the back except for school programs where I insisted on front row or closest to it.

@Inlemay Yes! Did you ever see the movie Room with a View? I visited that hotel in the movie years ago.

I always want to sit beside the window when I go travel. I enjoy looking at different scenery.
But when I travel with my children, I really can't have that seat beside the window because they also want it. So I just contend myself to sit on the other side.

Very nice to see the ambience. Excellent location of the Restaurant. Most of the times I search for such restaurants instead of spending time in some 3 or 5 stars (which are quite artificial and became routine)
