I posted this quote on facebook a few days back because it describes me to a T.
I am very very very easily irritated when it comes to stupidity from others. Sometimes, even if their "stupidity" isn't truly stupidity but I might feel it is.
I'd like to say that I am trying to better myself from this but I can't honestly say that I am. I do try to keep my thoughts to myself on it though.
Though sometimes, if someone is truly being stupid and irritating, I will call them out on it. ESPECIALLY if I feel offended by it.
I try to express myself in the nicest way possible, but I also have a "fire temper." Or a "Quick to draw" temper. I want to lash out and HURT the person that is hurting me.
I'm pretty good at it too. Yeah, I shouldn't be proud of that I'm sure. It's not that I am really proud of it, but I am proud when it comes to calling people out on something that they think I don't know about.
I used to be more "in my shell" about things. I might get offended but I'd internalize it instead of letting it out. Now I guess you could say I don't take crap from others, regardless of whether they truly mean to offend me or not. I'm going to let them know how I feel on it.
Sometimes, with that quick temper and later regret. Sometimes with the wherewithal to step back and think of how best to express how I feel.
Last night I did that. I was offended and upset at work over something and I waited until I felt I could express myself in a manner befitting the situation. I did, however, explain that I had to think about it first and that if I still sound angry I apologize.
Anyway, I let the person know how I felt about a situation and all I got back was excuses. I threw those excuses back at them in a rational manner and they well, they shut up. They knew they had no argument with me because I was right in the way I felt and right in my rationalization of their supposed argument. I hope that makes sense.
Essentially, someone tried to pull the wool over my eyes but I slapped the wool out of their hand and threw it back at them.
I am honest to a fault sometimes and yes sometimes that gets me in trouble. I no longer care if it does though because I won't retreat into my shell as easily as I once did.

@ScribbledAdNauseum ..I get annoyed when it is done against me, or somebody whom I consider to be comparatively innocent. When both are on par, I am fine. I guess it comes from heightened sense of justice.

Sometimes shrewdness is a necessity, but it is all in the delivery.

Yes, zodiac attributes either fit or they don't. Sometimes it's really far fetched as everyone is different, even those with the same zodiac sign. Tha'ts one reason why I don't really read my horoscope often. It doesn't always help or reflect me.

I'm a Pisces. It does fit me. I don't read horoscopes anymore either. You was in the right to do that.

I have an uncle who is obsessed with horoscopes. It's really kind of sad as he relies on them entirely too much. He has all the families birth charts saved on his PC and he opens them up and looks at them, especially when a family member is "having a bad day."
He tends to point out why we are having a bad day. I just walk out of the room because honestly I don't believe in the stuff as wholeheartedly as he does.

Unfortunately, a lot of the stupidity I've had to deal with lately is work. Like tonight? I've to go to work and talk to the manager over my manager because I am getting fed up with my own direct manager.
Anyway, I've been this way my whole life. I remember as a child getting in trouble because of my quick temper and calling out of people's ignorance. Like I said, I may not have always been right but I have always told them how it is.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am much the same way, however thankfully I have mellowed greatly in my old age.
