Camel stride across a Large Continent!

Hopping across the Medeterean sea, then approaching the 94 countries found in Africa, this postcard eventually found its way to me! With some camel striding - this is what I hear Barry saying - my postcard arrived! Did you know: "The average life expectancy of a camel is 40 to 50 years. A full-grown adult camel stands 1.85 m at the shoulder and 2.15 m at the hump. Camels can run at up to 65 km/h (40 mph) in short bursts and sustain speeds of up to 40 km/h. Camels do not directly store water in their humps as was once commonly believed. The humps are actually reservoirs of fatty tissue!" It is said that the France created a méhariste camel corps in 1912 as part of the Armée d'Afrique in the Sahara, which remained in service until the end of French rule over Algeria in 1962. How very interesting that is. The newest item to my postcard collection is from Turkey - sadly Turkey is suffering so many terrorist attacks and this card arrived yesterday a day after the last bombing.
