Do you believe the folks at the Westboro Baptist Church are crazy?

Is the family Phelps is actually crazy, that they believe what they preach, or that they enjoy being annoying?

Basically, they are homophobic folks. But they also hate Catholics, Muslims, Jews, politicians (I don't blame them for this one) and the troops. They even celebrate the deaths of members of these groups.

I'm not sure if they totally believe what they say or if they just love the publicity. How many members do they have anyway? I thought it was just a handful...the media should just stop giving them airtime and column inches then they'd go away.
