The Ark

When God told Noah to build the Ark, you can just imagine what a massive undertaking that must have been back in the day. Made from gopher wood, the Ark was to be 300 cubits (510 ft. long) by 50 cubits (85 ft. wide) by 30 cubits (51 ft. high). Not to mention all the critters that had to be assembled for the trip. On July 7, Ken Ham will be opening his $100 million replica of Noah's Ark in Williamstown, Kentucky. He did follow the guidelines stated above and it took 2 years to build it. The interior will be a bit different from the original, however the idea will be clear. The cost to visit this museum piece is $40 for adults and $28 for kids. There are a lot of skeptics regarding the veracity of Noah's Ark, however, parts of the original Ark were found atop Mt. Ararat exactly where in the Bible it states it would land. It would be a very interesting place to visit. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/guided-by-god-and-disney-life-size-ark-rises-in-kentucky/

Isn't the story of Noah's Ark symbolic rather than an actual event?

Jesus himself spoke of the flood of Noah's day, as did several other writers of the Bible. I don't think that Jesus thought that the account in the Bible was symbolic. Luke 17:26; Hebrews 11:7; Matthew 24:37 So to discount the flood of Noah's day as symbolic would be to discount what Jesus himself and several Bible writers said about the flood. Some church leaders are saying that the flood is symbolic but that is not supported by the Bible, nor secular information. Why they are teaching that is a mystery to me. If a person does some research on the subject of the flood of Noah's day, they will find that there is AMPLE proof that that flood really took place. Sea shells have been found on the tallest mountains in the world. In addition to that, many cultures around the world agree that there was a flood in ancient times with only a FEW people surviving. The Bible's story of Noah is an actual account of what happened.

Whatever the veracity of the bible story, it would be interesting to visit this Noah's Ark. It seems rather expensive though.

I think the cost to get in @jaboUK is to make up for the cost of building it. Had they used the materials that Noah did, it probably wouldn't be.

The Noah Arks remake is so intriguing. I saw the Ark on television and what a remarkable remake it is. I'm sure a lot of people will be visiting the Ark.
