Rogers, Arkansas was the first location of Walmart, then called Wal-Mart Discount City, back in July, 2, 1962. Now Walmart is making 1.8 million an hour. Exxon Mobil is the second highest rank company on the Fortune 500's list with 246 billion is revenues last year. Walmart made $482 billion in 2015.
Walmart has 400 new solar projects coming in 2017 with 260 installed as of last year. Their energy bill is now down $5 million.
Walmart gets sued about one every two hours. There have about 9,400 open cases. Lawyers actually specialize in suing Walmart. Walmarts fights everything. It is annoying and frustrating for lawyers. With lawsuits such as Christmas stampede injuries and onsite employee discrimination the lawsuits have a varied range. They were sued 4,851 times in 2000.
Walmart's supercenters are over 200000 square feet. As of April, 30, 2016 Walmart has opened 653 neighborhood markets that are 40,000 square feet and carry only basic items.

Didn't know these information about Wal-Mart until I came upon your post. The solar projects is interesting as it is something I want to do myself for my own home.
Another interesting bit that I found here are the cases filed against Wal-Mart. I guess, if you are a billion dollar company, you have a target on your back constantly being eyed by lawyers - shady or not.

Solar is smart for the future. Exactly what I think on the legal issues.

@celticeagle too bad getting solar panel cells here in Manila can cost an arm and a leg.
The legal issues are, in my opinion, cash cows ready for the milking by these leeches. Sure, there are valid ones but I'd put that as 2 out of 10. 2 valid cases for every 10 cases filed against Wal-Mart.

@celticeagle I saw a map once where they were located and saw that the neighborhood marts were mostly in the south.

I think that any big corporation is going to have 'legal troubles'. People out there wanting to make a buck on any occasion.
