Propagate them again in a different way

Philippines
July 4, 2016 12:21am CST
I've posted my plans before about propagating moringa tree through the stalks, but for the last two months I've been unsuccessful. Either I over water them or the insects consumed them. I tried again a month later, but they just kept on dying up and when I remove some of them had worms sucking up on it So, after weeks of delay, I've decided to do some outer layering on the tree itself. I saw this in the youtube video, and somehow work for him. I won't touch for the next couple of months hoping the carved ones will grow roots on them. Though i still have very few growing from seeds, I want to try this experiment. My brother did this in his and our mango tree, not sure what happened though.

No need to do those complicated procedures. Just cut a branch and plant it in the soil and in no time, it will grow. I've done many times.

@Letranknight2015 Moringa is very easy to grow. In fact, when I cut a branch, the following the branch grows long again. I'm also having a problem because it grows so fast and I always cut it more often or it will go very tall and lean.

@sunrisefan my problem now is the lack of pot and soil, but since i did this i can just cut it when it has roots and when i already have pot and soil. but it's still just an experiment..

You might as well grow the young plants from seeds. It is easier and you do not hurt the existing plants. If the existing plants are infected by bacteria, you may lose the plant.

@Letranknight2015 I think the young plants will grow very strong. Perhaps you can look into killing the bacteria in the soil. Personally I think the best is to use a fire to burn the leaves and the soil together. The fire will not get big, and yet it is effective to kill all the bacteria in the ground.

If you want to propagate moringa, just cut the branches and plant it directly to the soil. Be sure that the soil you have planted is not a watery area.

Yeah, I thought that would be easy until they started dying @ida123 one by one being consumed by pest.

I think there's no need for this to be grafted. But I hope that will work...
