Day One of a New Me

I decided over the weekend that I need to eat more fruit - I'm a total vegetable fiend so definitely get my five a day, but I was starting to think maybe I'd get a bigger array of vitamins if I swapped things around a little and added some fruit to my diet.
Not being a huge fan of fruit in general I had to get my thinking cap on to come up with ways to introduce it without committing myself to sitting down and munching on a whole apple, pear or bowl of strawberries.
I remembered Overnight Oats - a tip from a Slimming World class I used to attend. Layers of porridge oats, fat free natural yogurt and fruit - put it all in a Kilner jar and leave it in the fridge overnight. The oats go all soft and squidgy, the fruit flavours the yogurt and it's just a perfect summer mornings breakfast really. Today I've used strawberries, cherries and grapes - I'm struggling a bit to get through it (really not a fruit fan) but reckon it'll keep me full up until lunchtime!
What was your breakfast today?

A Macky D's breakfast sandiwich was mine. I would have omitted the cherries as I am not a big fan of cherries. Maybe next time you could chop the fruit a bit more finely, that way you don't feel as if you are having to chew so much the stuff you don't like.

Oh, I'm a fruit person for I love all kinds of fruits. But sadly I can't buy them all because fruits are expensive in our country. Sometimes my breakfast are fruits and a cup of coffee.

@chrisandmark I wish you success in your new found enthusiasm for fruits. As you can change which fruits you will have daily it is going to be interesting.

I can eat fruits and cottage cheese for every lunch, but I prefer to skip salads and green vegetables.
