How about the red durian?

In the past I always thought that the durians were just yellow. Lately my friend had a trip to Malaysia and I could see the red durian in his photo. I am surprised to see it as it is a new type of durian for me. How does it taste? Is it better than the yellow one?

have heard a lot about the smell that puts of anyone eating Durian. If your red one does not have that smell do send some across. Else all the rainbow colours in a Durian will not entice me

It is not a new type of durians. I have tried this many years back, and it was very filling. We were stupidly enough to have it before dinner, and after that we were so full that we did not have appetite for dinner.

@youless There are different kinds of yellow durians too. Over here, people craze for "Mao Shan Wang" which is very expensive and very nice. Red meat durian is different in taste, but nice as well.

I have never eaten a durian yet. I only knew its looks from the outside. But I never bother to look at the inside. It has been said that it has certain odor but it is delicious when eaten, is it true?

Perhaps this kind of durian only grows in Malaysia.

I think the best one is yellow one. In Malaysia, the best one is Musang King and it is yellow color.

I'm also curious to try the red durian, it seems quite tempting, I hope the texture is the same and the taste is good too
