Hahaha, I now know more about saving, investing and managing my money and other people's money thanks to Manulife. Now as a licensed financial advisor I will eventually be better at this in due time I believe. I was inspired to write a blog post about money mindset too thanks to Chinkee Tan, one of the top motivational speakers of our time. We should all decide to save money now that we still can and invest it so it will grow and keep up with our expenses once we've reached retirement age. If we suddenly die and we don't have any kind of life insurance it's gonna be expensive for those we leave behind right? If we don't have any savings and investments the loved ones we leave will have to pay for hospital expenses, burial costs, every day costs of living. It's hard to be human eh? If we have properties or assets we need to have a will to designate who it will all go to and our inheritors will need to pay for tax before they get it too if it's a certain big amount. Sucks huh? And yeah I'm blabbering on about insurance but I'll be getting my own insurance in a few months time. How about you? If you're in the US, UK, Australia or Canada I think you already have insurance.. How about the rest of the myLot population? Would you consider getting one now? Let me know if you're in Metro Manila and we can discuss it.

My mom paid an insurance for my dad and 2 brothers and told me my sister to request our future husbands to get for us. Haha! Well, before we got married we already bought that for our own. We are all covered by SunLife. When husband and I felt that we will be staying here in Singapore for quite a long time, we went for another insurance in here, life and medical despite of having an insurance given by their company. It is be better to prepared than to cry later, if something happens. haha!

Wow that's cool and really smart. Good for you and your family. Wish my parents did the same but hey I'd do it for me and my friends and the future generation instead.

You're lucky to have learned/thought about it earlier.

Good to have all those things taken care of before something happens.

That's true. I just wish our family had that mindset back then, but we were initially more on nationalistic, environmentalist and human rights involved and such.
