Do you have too much sodium in your diet? A lot of us are guilty of overdoing it. Certainly restaurants promote foods that are chock full of sodium. Whether it's macaroni and cheese, french fries, meat loaf, fried chicken or a host of other foods, we have way too much sodium in our diets. It tastes so good, but can be so bad for you.

All of us are practically drowning in sodium. It's used as a preservative in so many foods and you need to check labels to see how much. You are asking for it with fast food and hot dogs.

The last two times I have been to the doctor my blood pressure has been high and I don't know why. I don't add any extra sodium to my diet and I always look how much sodium is in the foods I eat. My doctor told me it might be because I am considered obese according to the BMI. My blood sugar level, cholesterol, and everything else came back as normal every time I have the test took. I eat pretty healthy but I kicked up my exercise and added more veggies and fruit to my diets.

I love sodium but nowadays I reduced the saltiness of my dishes and replace them with herbs and spices.

I read once that if they start cutting fat out of a food they'll add more salt to give it a better taste. Certainly many processed foods contain way too much sodium.
