Phone Call From a Friend

I just had a wonderful phone call from a friend from my writer's group.
One of the things I forgot was the meeting this past Tuesday. I never received an e-mail about it, and found out why, so things got a bit lost for a couple days. Anyway, I got a call from my friend in the group and she asked me if I had started work on the questionnaire for the next meeting. She had sent it to me, and I completely forgot about it, so I brought it up and looked at it. One of the points on it was to encourage someone a couple hours a week on their writing.
I think we talked at least that long. Though it didn't seem like it at the time because she's a friend who could talk for hours and it would feel like minutes. We talked about our work, the group, and the last meeting. I didn't get the e-mail because the head of it got a new computer and it took out some of the e-mails from it, mine being one of them.
She read me the story she shared with the group and I was just rolling in laughter. It's a great little piece. I also shared my poem with her that I had written and shared here a couple days ago and she told me I should share it with the group next month.
It's so great to take time away from an otherwise mundane day. Sometimes I don't feel like I'm doing anything worthwhile here or with my life, but then there are people like my friend who tell me I'm beautiful, and she's not talking about my outward appearance, and it puts a smile on my face and makes me laugh once again.
Have you had a good phone call or interaction with a friend that just changed your whole day? We all need that once in a while.
I'll be spending time with another friend later as I'll be going to see Finding Dory in a couple hours.
So now it's back to interacting with you and seeing what I can accomplish before I need to leave.
Another hot humid day here, but my joints are doing much better today than yesterday.
Thanks for reading.

I admit, I feel like life is often wasted on me, like I am spinning my wheels getting nowhere.

@Jessicalynnt When that happens you need to change something up. Reverse your day. Have dinner instead of breakfast. Go for a walk before going to work. Do something different to jump start your life again.

I haven't talk to them in a while, one in particular kept recruiting me to his real state agency simply because i was no longer good at sales.

If they are only going to talk business, I wouldn't talk to them either.

It's always great to talk to someone you don't see very often.
