those websites are known for having really cute clothing items for really cheap prices. but, because they are so cheap, I don't know about trusting them so easily. has anybody ever shopped at any of these places? if so, what was your shopping experience like? did your items come on time? were the items of good quality? were they like the picture

they are fashion and clothing sites/apps that are usually based in Asia, specifically China. The items they have are usually very cheap, but the quality a lot of times does not match up to the picture

check if the sites were approved by BBB or Better Business Bureau. Scam sites are not approved by the BBB,

That's a very good idea. But doesn't the BBB only apply to businesses in the United States? These sites are based or ship from Asia, as far as I'm concerned

@essennyo Just stick to highly rated Ebay sellers instead. I think BBB covers international businesses too.

@CaptAlbertWhisker do they traditionally carry stuff at that price too?

I see Wish as a snow flake scam. Their app is very popular with my daughters and their friends, but over half of their customers never receive their items or they get something completely different from what they paid for. Not something I'd take chances with. The others I'm not familiar with.

@essennyo They haven't actually bought anything from it yet. Mostly they just like to look at the things and talk about how much they wish they had it. kind of like window shopping but on a phone. SInce neither of them have a job yet, I'd have to pay for it and that's not happening. Their friends have had luck getting their things though. Because they're only high school students, they usually go for the cheap stuff.

The others are clothing websites that claim to offer the latest fashion, but I've heard similar reports from there too. Although I've heard of people not getting what they paid for, if you don't mind me asking, has your daughter ever run into these problems? I know it usually happens for the more costly items.

@cupkitties understandable. for high school students, $100, especially on a place like wish, could go a long way. I've done my fair share of wish window shopping, lol. I just wish they would come the way they look, but I guess with prices like that, you get what you pay for
