Coffee On My Shopping List Again

Buying coffee again,

I have to add "coffee" to my grocery list again. It seems that we are drinking too much coffee around here these days. We keep having to buy another can and then it is empty a lot faster that it used to be. The coffee price seems to be going higher and higher so I am looking for some sales on it. I will buy either Folgers or Maxwell House, whichever has the best price. If I find an really good price, then I will buy a few cans in advance. Is that what you are doing too? We rarely see coupons for coffee around here.

I love coffee but have stopped taking it regularly because blood pressure spikes up. I hoard green tea instead. Do you buy coffee beans or instant coffee?

I buy both instant and ground coffee. I drink the instant for my morning coffee and the ground coffee I drink cold from the pot. It probably sounds strange but sometimes I just get a craving for cold coffee. Anyone else have such cravings?

Green tea is a "No No" for me because of the high content of vitamin K. I buy ground coffee.

Yeah I buy which ever of the two are the cheapest as well. I like both brands so either is good. Coffee is getting WAY too expensive!

No green tea for me as there is too much vitamin K in it.

I know what you mean. The last time that I saw Maxwell House tins on sale I didn't need any but bought 2 for the pantry, now they are there when we will need them. I find that we drink less coffee in this heat.

Everything has been shrunken now. The cheese bars are half the size they used to be and the price is almost the same. I noticed that my coffee can is missing 75 grams of coffee from the original 1 kilo.

We drink a lot of coffee here, but it seems less now that it is hot. I do try to buy it on sale.

I think I'm drinking more coffee than usual too. But it's winter here, so I blame the colder weather.

I guess it is normal in the winter to drink more coffee, but here it is summer and very hot right now.

hubby says that the local grocery store generic is ok, I get whatever is biggest can wise as that tends to parse down cheaper by the ounce.

Yes, coffee is too expensive. I'm always looking for coupons as well and hardly ever find them. It's becoming almost a full time job looking for coupons that I actually need!

You are right about being difficult to find coupons that are useful.

@marlina I don't know why all companies don't provide coupons, and even why stores can't offer coupons for store brands. They are supposed to be less expensive already but sometimes they aren't. Coupons would be such a help to those of us who need help!

I buy ahead when it is on sale. Not too much ahead, I don't know if it might lose its freshness.

So you also love coffee? We use those in small sachets, the three-in-one type where you do not have to take time mixing milk or sugar. I use the less acidic one.

@marlina yes, but my family loves it. I still have pure coffee here, but I also use the three-in-one and sometimes add the pure coffee in it to make it stronger.

That is precisely the approach that I use. I usually drink Nescafe Gold Blend, which can be expensive, so whenever it is on sale I try to stock up with jars.

Yeah, we definitely need to pick some up here too. Haven't been able to pick some up in a few days, and I do miss it. I do miss having my morning coffee. I should be able to pick some up this week.

No one in my house drinks coffee so we never buy it. We do have a lot of water and sodas just laying around every where.
