Pokemon Don't Go and Be Stupid!

I am sure we've all seen it before. Those quotes that say "When I was that age, I wasn't that stupid." or "We didn't need warning labels when we were growing up!."
I am seriously perturbed by some of the things I've seen. People being injured, whether on their own regard, or by others whilst playing Pokemon Go!
I never did get into that Pokemon Stuff, I think I was a pre-teen / teenager when it came out, and I never did get the point of the show or any game variant on it.
Now I can appreciate this new one as it's getting people outdoors more, but did they leave their common sense at home or something?
People walking into others yards, without regard for the people whose place they are trespassing in. I doubt these people are even looking for "No Trespassing" or "Beware of Dog" signs.
I didn't read the article but I just saw a headline "15 year old killed after trespassing while playing Polemon Go!"
Uh... Manners anyone? Regard for others? Logic?
Don't get me wrong, I feel for the family who have lost the child. However, a person has the right to defend their home from what they might consider a perpretrator. Now I'm not saying the boy looked hostile, or threatening. I don't know the situation at all...
But I do know the internet will blow up over it soon enough.
For Crying Out Loud if you are going to play the game, bring your common sense with you!
Be Aware of your surroundings. Traffic / Pedestrian laws STILL MATTER and common decency does too!
If you see there might be something you can catch but it's in someone's yard? Knock and ASK! If they say no, respect that!

I don't really understand it either. I can appreciate it for giving people a reason to go outdoors, but that's about it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It's sad to see that people only go outdoor if they can play with their electronic gadgets. Sad world.

This game is just way too hyped. People don't pay attention to wear they are going, they don't use their brains, overall stupid.
I've seen nothing but bad news but I read T-Mobile is giving people unlimited data to play this game for the entire year and you can win cool prizes but I have no clue if that's a real source or fake. I have T-Mobile anyway and I'm not plying that game.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am fine with people playing, it doesn't bug me just look where you're going and use common sense.
Here is the data:

I have a friend who has T-Mobile and I know she's played the game atleast a little. We haven't talked about the game though so I don't know if that T-Mobile promotion is real or fake.
There are two very different extreme opinions to the game. I'm sort of in the middle. Let the people play but for goodness sakes have common sense and be safe and courteous when doing so!

I am sure it looks quite strange to someone who hasn't even heard of it!
Some people, it seems, have no courtesy for others. I was just reading on here the other day, where a boy went into a ladies yard and she just yelled at him. He went off crying. Well I am sorry he went off crying but really, he was trespassing!

@ScribbledAdNauseum I also read how people go to some inappropriate places for playing games just to catch Pokemon - places like police stations and museums...

@sishy7 I am sure they will also argue that the game leads them to it so "what's the harm?" ...

Chris has a game similar, but it's Ghostbusters. I wasn't really into the pokemon thing either. I hope Chris doesn't have the pokemon game.

I get the concept of the game. However, I think that the developers should have put some sort of a video together explaining things like watching your surroundings, being respectful of properties... Of course perhaps they shouldn't allow for pokemon to be caught in federal buildings etc. I'm not sure how the game works or if that's in their control to do though.

Sadly, not every driver is careful and watchful of pedestrians. I hope they won't be harmed.
