.
This is one of my favourite wedding dresses that I designed
.. Not a traditional wedding dress because it's the second wedding vow ceremony they had, after 15 years of marriage ..
This photo was taken on the last fitting.. I wish she sent me a couple of photos they took on the actual day of the ceremony because I also designed and made her daughters' dresses..
I am really lucky to have been able to earn a living from doing something I loved and enjoyed doing ..
Do you enjoy and love your job?
Bess ..

Its a lovely dress @epiffanie I wouldn't mind wearing one like that for the renewal of vows. From what I have seen of your designs they are really beautiful. I enjoy looking at these pictures. The lady seems pretty trilled with the dress.

@sofssu Yes indeed! ..I have been invited to so many weddings in the last 30 years..
I get invited two to three weddings a year .. At first I was excited.. but I started saying no in the last 5 years.. Attending a wedding can be vey costly too you know, especially if it requires us to stay overnight in a hotel because the reception is two or more hours drive away..

@epiffanie I bet that your customers/clients get excited /emotional when they try on those dresses. So you also get nice cakes and invitations from time to time I guess. Isn't it a great feeling to be a part of someone memorable day ( even if it is in an indirect way)?

Oh how lovely! What a wonderful job you have! I did love my last job (I'm retired now). I worked at a church and ran the Religious Education program, so I worked with a lot of children and ran a lot of meetings for parents and the people who taught in the program. It was so much work but it was all a labor of love for me!

@CRK109 Oh I see.. I'm glad you were able to express your maternal instincts working with children .. Yes indeed, we do learn more from little children ..Especially when we teach them well ...

@epiffanie I never had children of my own, so it was my way of working with my maternal instincts and it served me well. But I think I learned much more from those children than they ever learned from me!

Thank you Val .. I didn't think of it as a talent.. more like a job that I'am passionate about ..This job requires a lot of patience rather than talent ..and I'm glad I have a lot of patience..

That is a lovely dress. You are very talented. And yes, it is a great thing if your 'work' is also something that you love doing.
