I have to get up really early tomorrow

Today my man texted me and asked if I could pick him up 45 minutes away. He needed to drop his vehicle off at a dealership to have work done on it due to a recall. They were closing right after he was to drop if off so he couldn't stay while they worked on it. They will work on it tomorrow. We ate at a Thai restaurant for dinner and I dropped him off at his home. Soon after I got home he texted me saying he can't get his sisters car and his mother is leaving to early so he can't get a ride with her either. He has to leave town by 5:45 so I have to be up and leave my house at 5:30 am to pick him up and take him the 45 minutes to work. Thankfully after that he will get a friend to drop him off at the dealership to pick up his car. I will be out for the day with my kids and I will be exhausted. I need to get to bed early so I am going to go hop in the shower.

Yikes! I remember back when we only had one car and before my husband retired I had to leave the house by 4:30 to drive him to work if I wanted the car. Glad those days are over, even though I still have to get up early twice a week to go to my daughter's shop. Then again, I have my alarm set to go off at 6:30 on other days because if I don't, I will never get started on editing my novel.

I used to work at 8 am and I only lived 10 miles away but I always got up at 5 am to get ready. I took forever to do everything back then. Now I am up and out the door within an hour.

@shaggin Wow, that sounds almost like me. I have to be at the shop at 8 and live about 15-20 miles away, yet I get up early to get ready, mostly because I want to check my mail as well as some exercises I have to do now which takes about 30 minutes.

You have ever a lot on you to do. Glad it's not me. I never liked driving that much anyway?

I do not like driving much either. Today the maintenance light has come on in my van. yikes. Every year at this time due to all the summer driving my vehicles wind up in the shop.

He is lucky you were available to help him. Usually the cars dealer have a "courtesy" car to give us if the work is done the day after.

Well he could have waited until the morning and dropped it off but then he would have missed work so he was dropping it off to them right before they closed.
